The progress in the results of Dimitar Iliev’s performances on the Samotska Trail 40K is worthy of taking our hats off!
👉 2022: First appearance on Samotska Trail 40K (38K due to weather conditions) – 8th place – 4:53:04
👉 2023: Vice-champion – 2nd place (40K) – 4:33:38 ⏳ (20 minutes improvement)
👉He achieved the Samotska Trail crown in the men’s competition on his third attempt in 2024 when from Peshtani via the Chumo Vlaga peak, Asan Dzura, Letnica, Visok Vrv and Velestovo he finished with a record time of 4:10:54 and 691 ITRA Points.
His result on this trail will remain the best in our Book of Records because the Samotska Trail 42K race in 2025 will get a completely new route on which records will be set!
